As a fellow gout sufferer I speak from personal experience.
The pain from gout is unbearable and unfortunately I was diagnosed about the same age of 29/30.
It is avoiding rich foods and highly acidic foods. Some alcohol will trigger it, red meats, some rich soups etc you’ll be surprised what can actually trigger it.
Having said that once you learn the foods to avoid and get some decent anti-imflamatory pills for emergency use it is easily manageable.
For me it takes two days from when I eat or drink something new to finding out if it will trigger my gout. So the day after I will be fine but the day after that is when the pain comes and the pills get swallowed.
Some research on Google will help you or a local chemist should have a sample diet for you. It is very personal on what will trigger it for him.
Unfortunately it is managed not cured and it gets progressively worse as time goes by.
