Many gout medicines have really bad side effects which include nausea, diarreah, and vomitting.
Drink plenty of fluids. Take Vitamin C. Limit your intake of protein and high purine foods.

To reduce the pain and inflammation of a gout attack you should try to:
* Not drink alcoholic beverages
* Eat less seafood and red meat
* Reduce the consumption of high fat dairy products
* Eat less processed food such as white flour and refined sugar
Also many people have reported a reduction in swelling and pain of the affected area after drinking an apple cider vinegar tonic (2 teaspoons in an 8 ounce glass of water) with each meal.
