I seem to have some gout running down my left ear.

You didn’t describe the symptoms clearly here. It’s hard for me to judge. If it is swelling with inflammation, it is possible that you have some internal eye infection.
But if you are talking about the tiny white dots that is on the surface of your ear lobe, then possibly that is the cuticle or mini tophus which is the product of uric acid crystallization underneath the skin.
In order to confirm whether it is gout or not, you should check with the list of Hidden Symptoms of gout listed in the following article.

No dude, no gout happens in the ear. It’s in joints. You’re a freak of nature if you have a joint in your ear. lol
