doctors treated me for gout but foot is still swollen severe pain cant stand for long periods of time.need help open to any suggestions what this might be

if your doctors diagnosed gout, and did it in a proper way, checked your blood for urea, then it is gout. it is not easily treatable, but it will get better over time. you can help yourself by avoiding certain food http://arthritis.about.com/cs/gout/a/foodstoavoid.htm and be patient, i’m afraid.

Did they test you for a fracture or foot infection from a cut or other opening ? If not, that could be the cause. Ask about it ASAP. It’s important for your foot.
