Gout is a common, painful form of arthritis. Gout is a condition in which the body has a problem in the handling of uric acid. Uric acid is a waste product that naturally occurs in the body. It is normally flushed from the body by the kidneys through urine. It causes swollen, red, hot and stiff joints. Gout occurs when uric acid builds up in your blood. Men are more likely to get gout than women are, but women become increasingly susceptible to gout after menopause. Gout usually attacks the big toe however, it also can affect other joints such as the ankle, heel, instep, knee, wrist, elbow, fingers, and spine.

In some cases, the condition may appear in the joints of small toes that have become immobile due to impact injury earlier in life, causing poor blood circulation that leads to gout. It occurs more frequently in countries that have a high standard of living. Approximately one million people in the United States suffer from attacks of gout. Gout affects up to 500,000 Canadians. Men who develop gout usually do so between the ages of 30 and 50. Women are more likely to develop gout after the age of 60. The most common type of medicine used to treat an acute attack of gout is nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

These drugs help reduce the pain and swelling of joints and decrease stiffness. If you think that diet acts as a trigger for your gout attacks, changing your diet may help, but it is important to talk to your healthcare provider about choosing the right diet for you. Gout diet prevention consists of a prevention diet low purine or modified purine diet may help gout improve. Gout diet prevention puts and emphasis on dairy products, vegetable protein and water intake and a decrease in high purine foods. A low-purine gout diet is often prescribed for individuals with gout. Purine is a compound that is mainly found in animal protein which is metabolized to uric acid in the body.

A low-purine diet and medications are commonly used to treat gout. Purines are mostly found in foods which are high in protein and fat content. For breakfast, take low-fat protein foods. High-protein foods that are low in fat have been found to be safe. Include lemon juice at lunch for cleansing. Lemon juice is filled with vitamin C and antioxidants to help flush your body from unwanted uric acids. Grilled or baked lean meat, wrapped foil to retain moisture, is ideal for dinner. Pair with potatoes and steamed spinach. After dinners make sure to have a bowl of cherries, berries or grapes on the side.

Gout Pain Relief – 3 Simple Tips to Relieve Gout Symptoms

There are 2 ways to relieve gout symptoms; drugs or natural remedies. Here, you will discover 3 ways to get gout pain relief the natural way, without expensive drugs and their nasty side-effects.

First, let us look at the cause of your gout. Gout is caused by uric acid crystals that have lodged in your joints, usually the big toe. These crystals are formed from excess uric acid that your kidneys have not been able to flush out of your system as they should. But uric acid is a byproduct of the break-down of ‘purines’ that are found naturally in our cells and our food.

So if you are suffering from gout, to get gout pain relief you need to break down the crystals, lower your uric acid levels, and help your kidneys flush the excess acid out of your body. The following tips help you to achieve that aim…

1. Change Your Diet. Since purines in our cells and in our foods produce the uric acid, it makes sense to reduce your purine intake. So you need to go onto a low-purine diet. This means cutting-out things like red meat, meat extracts, gravy, yeast, mincemeat, offal, poultry (turkey in particular), shellfish, etc. Eat plenty fresh vegetables (but not cauliflower, asparagus, mushrooms) and fruit (especially cherries), dairy produce (but low fat), essential fatty acids (e.g. tuna) and complex carbohydrates (e.g. cereals).

2. Drink Plenty Water. Drinking water regularly is essential to keep yourself hydrated. Water helps your kidneys flush out uric acid by increasing your body fluid volume. Drink between 2 and 3 liters of water every day.

3. Eat Plenty Cherries. Cherries contain anthocyanins which is a known anti-inflammatory. Eating at least a cupful of cherries every day helps to neutralize uric acid and reduce the swelling and pain around the joint.

These 3 natural remedies will help you with gout pain relief. But you also need to ensure that your gout does not come back time and again. Recurring gout can damage your kidneys and permanently damage your joints. So it is best to get rid of your symptoms as fast as you can, and, make sure that your gout never returns.

You can find out exactly how to do this with an easy, step-by-step natural gout remedy report that thousands of ex-gout victims around the world have successfully used. And it doesn’t matter if you have gout toe, ankle or knee etc., this report has everything covered.

To find out exactly what these ex-gout sufferers know that you don’t, and, to get gout pain relief in 2 hours, please go to http://gout-relief-today.blogspot.com and start on your guaranteed gout cure in minutes.

Without the nasty side effects of many mainstream drug-based treatments, these tips are being used more and more by gout sufferers looking for a total gout remedy…

1. A key part of natural healing for gout has to be your diet. Foods high in purines have to be avoided. Foods like, red meats, offals, game, gravy, broth, poultry, shellfish, fish roe, sardines, mackerel, legumes, lentils, yeast extracts, etc. Also alcohol. Avoid alcohol, especially beer!

2. Another vital part of natural healing for gout is to flush excess uric acid out of your system by drinking at least 2 litres of water every day, preferably 3 litres.

3. Eat five helpings of fresh vegetables and fruit per day to help flush uric acid out. Avoid cauliflower, asparagus and mushrooms though.

4. Consume a cupful of cherries at each meal. They have antioxident and anti-inflammatory powers. They are very effective natural cures for gout.

5. Take Alfalfa (in seed form, capsules or liquid extracts) to reduce uric acid levels. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory agent.

6. Apple cider vinegar can help your symptoms, as a drink or applied topically. For a daily drink; 2 teaspoons each of vinegar and honey mixed together. To bathe the affected joint; 1 part cider vinegar and 6 parts hot water.

7. Apply a charcoal poultice made up from 1/2 cup of activated charcoal, 3 tablespoons of ground flaxseed and warm water. This will help reduce pain and swelling.

These are just some natural healing for gout treatments. But what you also need to consider is how to prevent your gout returning time and time again. If all you do is get rid of the symptoms of gout each time you suffer an attack you run the risk of possible permanent joint damage down the line.

Ideally, you need to relieve the pain of gout symptoms, and, prevent your gout returning in the future. That’s why more and more gout sufferers are researching online for a complete natural remedy to prevent their gout returning.
