Question by sazzam: What causes gout? I suffer from this quite severely and it comes on without warning.?
I would love to know if anyone has a remedy without prescribed medicines.

Never had it myself , but know those who did. I understand it comes from uric acid forming crystals in the flesh and causes hellacious pain. I am told cherries, cherry juice, cranberries and cranberry juice is a good remedy for the gout. My buddy found out he got it from drinking beer, and a fair amount of it. His darling bride said” maybe you should stop drinking”, his immediate and firm reply was ” it don’t hurt THAT bad”. He is funny. And sore.

My mom has gout pretty bad also she told me that it’s from red meat, some cheeses. “Rich” foods she calls it. She drinks beer everyday and with her that never causes it, only the foods.
