Forget about what you eat. That red meat and alcohol cause gout is a myth. While organ meats, such as liver, and other high protein foods are high in purines, everything that has protein has purines. You have to eat.
Gout is caused by your bodies inability to eliminate uric acid. It will build up no matter what you eat, so get off the guilt trip, it’s not your fault, and screw home remedies like cherries, they don’t work.
Limp on down to the doctor, and get some medication.
